Wolves
Because of my love for wolves, I am devoting a section on my website, that will be dedicated to them. To me, the wolf is more than just beauty and grace. The Wolf is my Totem Guide. For me, the wolf respresents great innerstrength. And like the wolf, no matter how tough things may get at times, I must overcome all barriers and continue on.

Wolf #10
I'd like you to read a story about a very special wolf. So please click on the banner to the left and in doing so, we help a wolf spirit to live on...
Alpha Male and Female
Wolves are an extremely social animal and exist in groups called "packs". The pack is usualy a family group, consisting of the alpha male and female which are the leaders of the pack. The two are the oldest and most experienced.
Other Pack Members
The other members of a pack are the offspring of the alpha male and female. The offspring range in age from pups to 3 years of age.
Wolf & her pups
Few mammals are as loyal to their group as the wolf. All members in a pack will help take care of, protect and feed the pups within their family.
Group Communication
Wolves use body language, facial expressions and howls to communciate with one another. Dominate wolves will look other animals directly in the eye which declares their superior rank. A subordinate wolf will cringe towards the leader with tail low, ears back and down with legs bent in a submissive nature.
The Lone Wolf
The lone wolf is one who is the runt or the outsider (The Omega) and has been cast from the pack by all of it's members. This wolf will wander for miles, passing cautiously through the domains of other packs. If it is lucky, finds a mate and there is enough territory available, they may form a new pack of their own.
Save The Wolf
Over the centuries, the wolf has meant different things to different cultures. Whether seen as a deity or a devil, the wolf has often paid with it's life for crimes it did not commit. Today, the wolf is making a comeback, but as it's population increases, so does the conflicts with humans. To protect the wolf, we need to protect what little wilderness is left. Wolves are beautiful, wild animals meant to live out their lives in freedom.
